STRIPPING AND POLISHING/BUFFING CHARGES

Sometimes items may not plate properly due to corrosion, wear/tear, tarnishing, scratches, etc. . To give your items the highest quality finish, we may need to properly prepare the old surface. Some items may need to be stripped of the paint and/or varnish and buffed to receive the new gold coating. There are additional charges for preparation of tarnished or weathered surfaces. We usually charge an additional 20 - 50% for refurbishing.
Please note that there are parts which may be damaged badly and we will advise against plating.

Our plating finishing carries a lifetime warranty against peeling and flaking.
